ORGANIZE WITH GRACE | Declutter | Downsize | Move
If you feel overwhelmed by the amount of stuff you own, this podcast is for you. Like you, many people face the challenge of what to do with their accumulated possessions. Then thoughts about someday moving into a smaller place, simplifying our lifestyle, or simply creating more space and order in our environment dance through their minds. But procrastination and indecision keep them feeling paralyzed and frozen. Sound familiar? Take heart, you are not alone. Grace Rehman wants to come alongside you to provide you with bite-sized tips, emotional and mental support, encouragement, and laughter in between the messy middle as you declutter, downsize, and move. Even if you’re not thinking about moving just yet, these episodes will help you gain momentum to decide what to keep and let go. Decluttering and downsizing (she would rather say ”rightsizing”) can feel impossible, but it doesn’t have to be. As your Home Organizer, Grace can help you get started and make the process simpler and more enjoyable.

Happy New Year Friends!
Today I want to share with you the 5 precious things I want to take with me in 2022. Often, we think about what we would like to leave behind instead, so I flipped it and made a list of things I want to take with me and I share them with you here:
1. The lessons I learned and my experience with healing from the inside (spiritual, mental, emotional).
2. The lessons I learned about the 5-week leave-of-absence I took from work due to burnout.
3. Celebrating our 10-year wedding anniversary.
4. More music, more singing!
5. New friends I've met, near and far.
I did include 1 thing that I would like to leave behind: toxic worrying.
What about you, friend, what would you like to take with you into 2022? What would you like to leave behind?
Email me at grace@organizewithgrace.com and let me know! Would love to hear from you!

Home buying can feel exciting yet nerve-wracking and many say that it's the biggest purchase you will probably ever make. Ha! No pressure, right??? Have you dreamed about owning a home someday? Hey, it's great to dream because I believe it all starts with a dream!
As you continue to declutter and organize your current dwelling, it may compel you to think "we need more space". Now, that thought may not lead you to take the steps towards home buying, but even if you're still in the dreaming and planning phase, this episode will still benefit you, as we take a bird's-eye view and the right steps towards home buying.
You don't have to feel overwhelmed and definitely don't need to spend your precious time and energy to become the expert, but allow an expert like David to assist you in navigating through the process.
David Gonzales, Jr. is a realtor at Livermore Valley Real Estate with over 25 years of experience in both mortgage and real estate. He owned a brokerage in Pleasanton, CA for several years. Fun fact about David: He loves the holiday season.
****There is one item we didn't get to talk about within the interview, which is regarding the importance of your credit scores and credit card bills, and here is a tip from David:
Work on getting your credit scores up by paying off credit card bills and paying them on time. Even paying off the smallest ones makes a huge difference. A credit score of 580 and above can help.
If you are in the Central Valley, East Bay area of California, and are interested in speaking with David, you can connect with him by email: gonzzz1@sbcglobal.net

41. Creating momentum for your decluttering and organizing project
Tuesday Nov 23, 2021
Tuesday Nov 23, 2021
Join me and my client and friend, Cecille, as we talk about her experience with me as her Virtual Home Organizer. We have been meeting consistently as I helped her organize her closet while she gave me pointers on writing (my dream is to write a book someday), all done through Zoom!
Cecille is an author, wife, mom of two adult children, caretaker for her father, retired teacher, and founder of Flowers for Elders, an organization that delivers flower arrangements to patients. She is a busy lady and simply needed someone to come alongside and provide her with guidance and accountability to declutter and organize so she can continue to make more room for all that’s dear in her heart.
During the decluttering and organizing process, Cecille is working to launch her own podcast! She is amazing! Her podcast is called “Digging Deep for Treasures”, which can be found on Spotify, Anchor, and soon on Apple Podcasts!
In this episode, you will get an inside look at what it’s like to work with me if you were to be my client.
You are ready to hire me as your Virtual Home Organizer if:
You feel stuck with an organizing project and would like the momentum to start.
You have a vision of what you would like for your space to look like, whether that’s your bedroom, closet, office, etc. (hey, even if you don’t yet, I can get you there!)
You can complete the physical part of organizing (moving items, purchasing the organizing tools, etc.) or can get help from someone nearby who can complete them with you side-by-side.
So...are you ready??? It's as easy as emailing me to start at grace@organizewithgrace.com

40. Turn your hot-mess digital photos into an organized and meaningful story
Tuesday Nov 09, 2021
Tuesday Nov 09, 2021
Do you ever wonder how in the world you could ever organize all those photos you took from your phone? I do! How about the ones you attempted to save on your computer? Is it even possible?
I had the privilege of speaking with Darla DeMorrow, who is a digital and physical photo organizing ninja, along with her team at Heartwork Organizing and she was so gracious to provide some actionable tips on how to tame and organize my hot-mess digital photos.
Darla DeMorrow is a Certified Professional Organizer® and owner of HeartWork Organizing (https://HeartWorkOrg.com) since 2004. Based near Philadelphia, PA, she is a mom of 2, international speaker, and author of the best-selling book series SORT and Succeed (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079BC6485), which outlines five simple steps to help you organize stuff, time, paperwork, money, and photos. The Upbeat, Organized Home Office is the third book in the series (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082J5SVYT).
During the coming holidays, I hope that you will continue to make memories with your loved ones and that you capture them with photos that you will treasure for a lifetime!

39. Unveiling the impact of workplace burnout and how to take action
Tuesday Oct 05, 2021
Tuesday Oct 05, 2021
In this episode, I had a conversation with Tumboura Hill, my friend, and former colleague, about his journey in, through, and out of workplace burnout. If you have the slightest suspicion that you are experiencing workplace burnout, this episode is for you.
I then found an article titled "The World Health Organization officially recognizes workplace 'burnout' as an occupational phenomenon, " published in May 2019, written by Ashley Turner.
https://www.cnbc.com/2019/05/28/who-recognizes-workplace-burnout-as-an-occupational-phenomenon.html
The WHO (World Health Organization) says it is a syndrome resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed.
I cheered this article because I felt that though workplace burnout has long existed, it is rarely talked about and in 2019, it is finally included in the latest revision of the International Classification of Diseases.
My feelings quickly turned into sadness and anger because it is indeed a problem that is rarely talked about and often dismissed or minimized either by the person experiencing it or the workplace that refuses to acknowledge it. The consequences and impact are alarming, as you will hear in this episode with Tumboura.
May this episode help you stop and assess where you are and bring you hope that there is light at the end of the burnout tunnel.
Here for you,
Grace
