ORGANIZE WITH GRACE | Declutter | Downsize | Move
If you feel overwhelmed by the amount of stuff you own, this podcast is for you. Like you, many people face the challenge of what to do with their accumulated possessions. Then thoughts about someday moving into a smaller place, simplifying our lifestyle, or simply creating more space and order in our environment dance through their minds. But procrastination and indecision keep them feeling paralyzed and frozen. Sound familiar? Take heart, you are not alone. Grace Rehman wants to come alongside you to provide you with bite-sized tips, emotional and mental support, encouragement, and laughter in between the messy middle as you declutter, downsize, and move. Even if you’re not thinking about moving just yet, these episodes will help you gain momentum to decide what to keep and let go. Decluttering and downsizing (she would rather say ”rightsizing”) can feel impossible, but it doesn’t have to be. As your Home Organizer, Grace can help you get started and make the process simpler and more enjoyable.

74 | Getting Organized Is A Form Of Self-Care...Do You Agree or Disagree?
Saturday Apr 15, 2023
Saturday Apr 15, 2023
Today's special guest is Professional Organizer Holly Perez, owner of H.A.P. Organizing Solutions. Join us as we talk about how getting organized is a form of self-care. Holly also shares actionable tips and her own journey with getting organized.
The term "self-care" has been a marketing buzzword lately, and it evokes mixed feelings for many, including myself. An article I found on Yahoo states that the term "self-care" has "become so big and amorphous that it can be difficult to suss out what it really is at its core and why it matters." While we didn't take the time to dig into the history of self-care and how it became so popular, we considered getting organized as a way for us to take better care of ourselves.
If you're like me, I feel at peace when I know that my environment is in order. I feel like I can breathe easier when I know I can find things quickly and easily. But if these feelings continue to elude you as they did me for many years, know that there is always hope and help. And the bonus? You get to take care of your overall well-being by getting organized.
Are you ready to go from chaos to calm? Pop on those earbuds, friend, and join the conversation.

73 | This Book Could Solve Our Paper Problems
Wednesday Mar 29, 2023
Wednesday Mar 29, 2023
Avalanche. Tsunami. Mountains. Oceans. Would these words accurately describe the amount of paper that we process throughout our lifetime?
Let me share a statistic used by the book I am about to introduce to you: "The average American household processes a paper stack as high as a two-story house every year." Imagine that! So maybe it's not outlandish to describe our paper as an avalanche, tsunami, etc.
Even with massive technological advances and a push for a paperless (or at least less paper) society, paper is here to stay, and it only continues to overwhelm us and our homes.
What's the solution? I am glad you asked. Listen in as I talk with you more about paper organization and THE book that could solve our paper problems, written by Lisa Woodruff called Paper Solution: What To Shred, What To Save, and How To Stop It from Taking Over Your Life.
Also, check out Episode 68 where I talked with my friend Emily Lowry about how to get your paper organized. She is certified to teach Lisa's Sunday Basket system (mentioned in the book).

Do you find yourself distracted even after you've scheduled a time to declutter a particular area in your home? Something that you deem more important comes up. You receive a phone call or text message that "needs" your attention. Someone needs something from you. Mind you, this happens within the short 15 minutes that you try to declutter, even just a bedside table.
My friend, you are definitely not alone on this.
No one is immune to distractions (not even a professional organizer), especially in this day and age where everything and everyone are vying for our attention.
Take a listen to this episode as we explore an important question we need to ask ourselves when distractions come DURING our decluttering time.
***Grab your DECLUTTER GUIDE by clicking HERE and you will receive helpful tips and strategies to get started TODAY.***
Click HERE to read the blog post I referred to about defeating distraction written by Erin Pavlicek. As I mentioned, it's spiritual in nature. Don't feel like you have to share the beliefs of the writer (or mine) for the content to be useful for you.

Just imagine looking inside your closet, smiling, and loving everything you had in it. Getting dressed for work or for an event is a breeze because you can find what you need and you no longer run late. Sounds amazing, right?
Unfortunately, this is not (yet) the case for many of us. According to a survey from OnePoll, 47% of women struggle with deciding on which work outfit they should wear. The struggle is real!
Help is on the way, my friend. My guest, Holly Moran, a Professional Organizer, will help us get started on the right foot and guide us toward a closet space we can feel good about.

Receipts. Legal documents. Paper bills. Magazines. Work papers. Random notes you wrote on Post-Its. Grocery lists. To-do lists. All. The. Paper.
With these ongoing incoming papers, it can really become frustrating when they pile up and you hardly know what to do with them.
We then stash them away while we hope they would disappear on their own, except, they don't and they leave us frustrated and overwhelmed.
Can you relate? I've been there too!
Join me and my guest, friend, and fellow professional organizer, Emily Lowry, as she walks us through how to tackle these papers so that you no longer have to feel stressed out, especially when you can't find that one piece of paper that you need right away.
More about Emily:
As a professional organizer, wife, and mom, Emily is here to help. She knows what it's like because she's been there too. Emily understands the mass amount of papers that enter our homes and she also has a solution that will not only bring you order and organization, but it will also help you become more purposeful, peaceful, and productive.
